The term Siddha means knowledge of the health and soul. Siddha is derived from 'siddhi' that is attainment of perfection, accomplished or achievement.  Siddha medicine aimed at 100% perfection of health.

Treatments of Ayurvedha and Siddha mostly based on herbals and their basic concepts are also same. The Siddha system of medicine to date has three methods of treatment Mani, Manthra, Aushadha. Especially Siddha medicine treatment based on the three dhoshes in equilibrium and maintained of the seven thathus. And the main concepts of the Siddha system of medicine is “Diet is the medicine; Medicine is the diet.”  It means proper diet; medicine and a regimen of life are advised for a healthy living and to restore equilibrium of three thosam in diseased condition.
